We had a good first trip out of Rwanda---a week in Nairobi, Kenya!
The first 2 days were mostly vacation and we were hosted by the wonderful Kenny's. [Special thanks to Emma for giving up her room!!]

We were also able to meet a couple of the NOOR ladies, who make beads (and then jewelry). [** Hillsiders--if you bought jewelry when the Kenny's visited on Mother's Day, this is where it was made!**]
On Tuesday, we explored 2 malls that are within walking distance of each other--shopped at Nakumatt, looked in a book and magazine store, checked out a toy store, ate lunch at a sub place, had dessert at Planet Yogurt (a m a z i n g ! ! !), and....
WATCHED THE HOBBIT IN THE THEATRE!!!!! It lasted from early December to the last days of January! We were very excited (that's probably an understatement) and really enjoyed the movie. C & I had both reread the book within the month before we saw it, so we appreciated the movie even more.
From Thursday to Sunday we stayed at Heart House Lodge & Mom and Dad were very busy with our CBM East Africa conference. Caleb worked on school work on Thursday; on Friday, we also had Ava, Emma, and Tristan Kenny & Naomi Godwin hanging out with us; on Friday night, those of us staying at Heart House watched the movie Avengers; Saturday morning was more meetings, but in the afternoon we all headed to the mall to bowl; Sunday morning was a couple more meetings, Church, and then flying home!
I don't have any good pictures from the meetings, so I'm going to steal some from the Kenny's!

It was the first time bowling for several of our National Field Staff, but they all did great! This was when Sibomana got his first strike!

We had a great time in Kenya, spending time with colleagues we already knew, as well as meeting some others for the first time! We are part of a wonderful team!!

Glad you had a good time, I had seen the Kenny and Legassie pictures so knew it looked like a pretty good time.
